windows installer for xp

My windows installer is all messed up, ie my computer
says its not there or is broken. how can i solve this? i
have looked for pathces and updates but cannot find any,
but i dnt really know what im lookin for.

does anyone smart out there knwo what to do...

Hi Jon,

Start/run sfc /scannow

You may need your WinXP CD, so have it handy.
