A week ago I added 512Mg of high quality ram. On the
initial boot up the system failed to boot completly. After
several tries I concluded that the new ram must have been
defective. I replaced everything to the original
configuration and ever since, the machine starts to boot,
gets to the log in screen and reboots. Sometimes it wont
make it that far before rebooting. Additionally I have had
to set the front side bus speed to 100MHz or it wont boot
at all. I have tried every BIOS configuration possible
without success. Temperatures are within specs, there have
been no other hardware or software changes, the machine
has been stable and operational for about a year. Specs
are as follows:
XP Pro
AMD 1800+
256 mgram (currently)
ATI 7500 AGP
SOYO KT333
Thanks in advance for any help.
