I'm running Outlook 2002 (Office XP) with Win XP Home.
Whenever I logout (or shutdown) after using (and properly
closing) Outlook I get an error that Outlook was unable
to close.
I've discovered that in Task Manager, outlook.exe appears
on the "Processes" tab even though Outlook doesn't appear
on the "Applications" tab. When I click on "end process"
to close the outlook.exe process (and close task manager)
before logging off or shutting down, everything works
fine without an error message.
So I figured out that the shutdown error was caused by
the process still running. But I can't figure out why
the process is running in the first place after I've shut
down Outlook without an error.
Any ideas?
