isapnp.sys error using Win XP PRO

Hey people.

Can anyone please tell me what this file is used for and
what to do? I get an error saying this file is corrupt or
missing. Looking through the support pages here, i have
found out that this related to Win 2000!!! but i am
running WinXP Pro.....as a result i cant boot up my
machine.

Can anyone shed some light please???????
