I get this message when I turn on computor
windows xp could not start because the following file is
missing or corrupt: <Windows root>\system32\ha.dll.
Please re-install a copy of the above fil. What do I do?
Windows was installed in my computor when I got it and I
have no disk.

Hi, Fred - and Robert.
Are you sure you're not missing a letter in that filename? Could it be
hal.dll?
The HAL is the Hardware Abstraction Layer and it varies from one computer to
the next, depending on the hardware installed. Sounds like you might need
to contact the computer manufacturer's support site, especially since you
"have no disk".

Contact the person / business / manufacturer you got the
compute from and have them send you the disk.
