you can help yourself in a couple ways - ie
1/
first - follow this - ie
defragmentation needs 15% free space to run and it is
good idea to get in habit of 'routine of running'
chkdsk.exe/checkdisk/first
then defrag
then delete temp files and cookies
and should keep your disk clean and org'd
2/
a/
consider 'splitting the pagefile' or
'having one for ea hdd' - ie
How to Configure Paging Files for Optimization and
Recovery in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/search/preview.aspx?
scid=kb;en-us;Q314482
b/
HOW TO: Set Performance Options in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;
[LN];Q308417
and
take it fr there
