Joining Files

[Bleh]

A friend recently sent me a split file in avi format. When i go to join the
file back up again, and click on add file, they're not there. When i go into
my recieved files folder they are but. I've tried different joining programs,
but the same thing is happening. I've also turned the 'do not show hidden
documents' off. Can someone please help ?

Programs that can be used to split large files into smaller pieces also
provide the program necessary to merge the pieces back together. Your friend
owes you that program.

This means that the files are not of the type that the program is
expecting. Are you not able to select "All Files" from the ADD dialog?
Do the files have the AVI extension in the names?

Since you are talking about AVIs, I'd suggest you try VIRTUALDUB - one
the web's real free treasures. It has an "Append" function which may
solve you problems.
