My computer was pre-loaded with Windows XP Home Edition,
now my computer is asking for the setup CD to repair a
missing or corrupt file:
windows\system32\config\system

Can anyone help me?
Thanks!
Gretchen

Have a look at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;307545
This describes how to recover from a corrupted registry. You will need the
XP CD though.
