HELP!
I really need to find a way to make my .mov files compatible with windows
movie maker. I want to put together a "gift" for my daughters Baba who is
losing her battle agains lung cancer. I'm so frustrated. Please help!

You'll have to convert them to AVI and/or WMV.... You can use QuickTime Pro
or EO Video or other software... here are a few guides...

Sorry to hear about the reasons why this is extra urgent. Hope this helps.
