Movie Maker2 download

I am really new at useing this. I am creating a slide show and have it
created,when I download to a cd/cdrw/or dvd I cannot play it back in the DVD
player. I have been told to save as vcd but I do not see that option when I
save it. That is for a cd. How do I save to the media cd/dvd and be able to
play it back on the Dvd player. This is a Christmas gift.

You need to use 3rd party dvd authoring software for making a dv, or 3rd
party software for making vcd/svcd if you save to a cd.
MM is only video editing.
You should have had some sort of software with your dvd writer, it may have
been nero/roxio/windvd creator are popular ones to be given.
Save the movie as a dv-avi file

Then import it into the software and make your dvd.

You could also use Microsoft PhotoStory.

As I understand it you're trying to create a slide show of images / Photos?
If that is so, you can use MS Photostory which is free. You can create a
movie of various formats including cd, dvd, pal, ntsc etc.
