Hi all,
I have a sharp notebook running XP with 256kb ram. When
running applications/games, the CPU usage reaches 100%
and the system idle process taking up 95-99% of the CPU.
Any resolution to this? thanks.

With only 256kb of RAM, I am surprised it boots! heh (I think you mean
256MB - MegaBytes)
If the System Idle process is using 95-99% of the CPU - that is GOOD.
System Idle is what it says.. IDLE CPU.

Hi,
thanks for the reply. by the way, with a closer look,
i've noticed that the explorer.exe process is the one
taking up 90+ of the CPU during the periode of 100%CPU
usage. this shouldn't be normal as things get slowed
down.
any suggestions? have uninstalled 811439 and disabled
system restore svc & auto-update svc but to no avail.
thanks.
