Hi all,
I unstalled media player 10 (why...I cant remember) however, no matter how
many times I've tried to reinstall it, I get this message from Windows Media
Technology:-
"This version of Windows Media Technologies is incompatible with this
version of Windows. For more information, view the information at the
Microsoft web site."
I am running Win XP 2 so I cant figure it (after all I had version 10
installed previously) and I've tried the same installation a number of times
with the same result.
Really hoping someone can help.
Kevin.

Thier is no uninstalling WMP 10,unless you disable thru add/remove windows
components, and thats really not uninstalling it..However you did it,if other
way, youve damaged the system files..Try creating a new user and see if
it opens,or download new copy.

You've deleted wmploc.dll from your system32 directory. You would need to
restore that before you can progress. I believe you would find a copy at
c:\windows\dllcache or so... ?

(speaking for myself and doing this in my free time)
See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.

Many, many thanks. Wmploc.dll was reinstalled in system 32 directory and
media player then installed 'correctly'.
