CD R burning problem

im having problem burning anything with any software on my computer
recently. i normally use nero and have never had a problem till recently.
when i try burning it will start fine but after about 7% it would stop and
loads of errors would display eg. illegal disc, or not a cd recordable, power
calibration error, invalid writestate, could not perform endtrack, could not
perform fixation . have absolutely no idea what some of them means. but i
know it's definately nothing wrong with the discs. can anyone help me
please.
