How I get Movie Maker to recognize my DVD-RW as a CD-R, so I can record my
movies to CD?

It should do it automatically if a cd is inserted. MM made cd's are only
playable on computers, as it makes a HiMat cd which does not play on dvd
players. For this you need 3rd party authoring software.
Do you have any other trouble using the dvd writer? Is it enabled for cd
recording in properties?
