ok im gonna reinstall my xp cause my modem got messed up
I tried everything to fix it it doesnt work so im gonna
reinstal my xp.... 1 problem... I have backed up all my
software on a cdr but not all the windows updates. Is
there anyway I can back up my windows updates on a cdr
right now. I need to back up service pack 1 for sure too.

Hi Steven,
There is no way to backup SP1 or the hot fixes without redownloading them.
If you want to prepare for next time they can be downloaded to your HD and
installed from there.
However if it is only the modem let me suggest a thing or two before you do
all that work. Go to the Device Manager ( Winkey - Break )
Hardware tab / Device Manager.
1. Uninstall the modem from the Device Manager
2. Uninstall the modem driver from the Device Manager
3 Uninstall your ISP software.
4 Rebot and reinstall everything. This is effectively what would happen with
a reinstall.
