I have found often times that a windows xp system will
freeze... either xp pro or home... and then when
restarting and trying to start in safe mode, the file
that it is hanging on is called "mup.sys"

I was just trying to see if anyone has any information
about this. I tried to find this in the KB but with no
results that helped me.

Anyone have any ideas?

If you could email me personally that would be great.

The MUP.SYS driver just happens to be the last driver enumerated
during the startup. The hang-up could be occurring after that
point.
