Why do my movie files look fine when imported to a collection but when
dragged into a storyboard become unsynchronized?

it could be a codec issue... if you're trying to use MPEG-2 or Divx/Xvid
encoded files... what type of video files are you trying to use?

Online info about your Canon says it records in Motion JPEG format.... which
could have an AVI extension.
It's a codec issue. If you don't have success with them in Movie Maker,
converting them to other files would be the thing to do....
