I have research the net from one end to the other and it
seems many people are having this problem and no one
seems to agree on a solution. My Windows 98 upgraded to
Windows XP computer unexpectedly shuts down and boots
with the following error: The system has recovered from
a serious error.

DataFiles=C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini071603-02.dmp|
C:\DOCUME~1\Bob\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER1.tmp.dir00\sysda ta.xml

Most posts I have read point to a video driver. My
NVidia video driver has been updated. I have downloaded
the Windows XP SP1 in reference to the Minidump issue
which I assume is just a recording of the error. The WER
is followed by any number from 1 to 9. Each time it is
different. Please help!

Serious Error Message
The system has recovered from a serious problem. A log of this error has
been created. When you view the System Log in the Event Viewer, you may
notice an Event ID 1003. This behavior can occur if the Windows XP System
Restore feature is corrupted.
