I have Windows xp & 98se in a dual boot configuration. I
once was able to access help in XP but now there is
absolutely no response to clicking on help & no response to
pressing F1.

All other functions seem to be performing normally.

Any suggestions???

Go to control panel--administrative tools--services and turn on 'help and
support'.
