View Full Version : Large desktop icons

After downloading new software I was required to restart my computer. When I
did this my whole system changed in that my desktop icons are larger. All
screens do not extend to each side of the monitor and all files are larger
when they are opened.

I have checked properties of the desktop, selected "Normal" icons but no
change.

I also did three system restores for days previous but only received an
error message saying that the restore was incomplete - no changes.

Can anyone help to bring my system back to as it was with the smaller icons.

John

Right click on the desktop and select Properties.

In the Settings tab, increase the resolution.... if it is not 800 x 600,
change it to something more like 1024 x 768 or higher, depending on what
your monitor supports.

If the monitor appears to be 'flashy', click on Advanced. Click on the
Monitor tab and increase the Screen Refresh Rate.
