After months of no problems all of a sudden I am recieving
the following Stop: message when using the internet (all
XP updates installed)

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

STOP:0x00000D1 (0x0000002C, 0x00000002, 0x00000000,
0xF7DEF6CA)

FTPFILT.DLL ADDRESS F7DEF6CA BASE AT F7DEEE000 DATE STAMP
3EC9ECDB

I have looked on the knowledge base and the only referance
that I can find for that particular stop error when using
IE6 is for Server 2003 and not XPpro.

If anyone has an idea how to rectify this problem I would
appreciate it as it is making it almost impossible to use
the net.
TIA

0x000000D1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
(Click to consult the online Win XP Resource Kit article.)
The system attempted to access pageable memory using a kernel process IRQL
that was too high. The most typical cause is a bad device driver (one that
uses improper addresses). It can also be caused by caused by faulty or
mismatched RAM, or a damaged pagefile

Thanks for the reply Rich it is appreciated.

I have found the problem (eventually) it was teh Outpost firewall that was
causing the problem. When I uninstalled and cleaned the regestry IE started
working again and I have not had a crash yeat, infact the system has gone
back to it's normal stable self.

Once again thankyou for trying.
