windows updates

I have installed a fresh copy of windows xp pro and then
installed the sp1 from a disk that is approx. 6 months
old. After doing this ehen I go to the windows update
site it says there are no new updates to download. I
know this can't be right since new ones come out
regularly. Does anyone have any ideas why I can't get
the newest updates? Thanks

Hi,

Two things to check:

1) Double-click the clock, make sure the year is set correctly

2) Control Panel/Internet Options/General tab, click on languages and make
sure at least your default one is installed.
