Welcome to the world of headaches that XP has brought us!
In the marketing of XP, little was said about XP not being
backwards compatible. But upon my upgrading to XP
Professional, I can no longer use many of my drivers (e.g.
photo scanner, CD Writer, etc.). For some of them, I
cannot obtain a free upgrade and must purchase a new
package. Thus, the true price of XP is several times the
marked price in the store.
If I had known this earlier, I would NOT have upgraded to
XP!! I know I am not the only one frustrated by this. So
a big market for Linux may be just around the corner.
