My problem was USB keyboard. When I booted up with keyboard plugged in I
would get 100% CPU utilization and I could not power down without using the
power button. If I boot with the keyboard unplugged and then plug it in
after boot everything is fine. Still exploring why this works but at least
it is a work around. Let me know if this works for you. Thanks.
