Windows messenger 5.1.0701

I am using only in local network with Exchange 2000.
I can't send messages to 2 or 3 contacts, they didn't block me and the
problem is only from my computer. If i logon another computer it works fine.
Any ideas?

Try this: Delete those 2 or 3 contacts and then add them back. You might
have to have your contacts do the same for you.

The same thing happened to me and I got the same results as you. I changed
to MSN Messenger and did the delete and add routine--all is well for over a
month now.

Hi Ron,

He's using a local Exchange IM server, you're referring to problems on the public network.

Greetings,

The reason you're seeing this is because you have the Windows Firewall engaged. If you click
Start, then All Programs, then Accessories, then Communications then Network Connections,
right-click your primary connection, choose Properties, then Advanced and depending on what
version of XP you're using, either click Settings for the Firewall and disable it or just
uncheck the firewall option.

If this help you, i can receive messages from those contacts but can not

I have the same problem like you only in Pc's with Win XP and Exch2k.

In my Win XP I have Windows messenger 5.1.0701 with Win XP SP2 with all
fixes. I already disable the firewall and the problem still exists. I already
find out a lot and i can't find a solution.

Did you already get the solution?
