Does Media Center interfere with EMC8

I am trying to use Roxio EMC 8, but everytime I try to bring up parts of it
my computer freezes up and I have to reboot. Can someone help me please?

Uninstall and reinstall it. There is no 'known' problems with MCE 2005 and
Roxio EMC v8 on my MCE PC.... I even still have Roxio v7 installed as well.
