Screen Brightness

Hi,
I left my Sony VAIO laptopnon a for a few hours and when I
returned and hit the space bar nothing happened. I hit the
on/off button and the machine did not reboot, it just
prompted me to identify myself. When the screen returned
it was darker than I had left it.

Does anyone know why the screen is dark or how I can
return it to its usual brightness?

Brightness on mobile devices usually changes based on whether or not you =
on battery or AC, and if on battery, how much battery life is left. =
Just charge it up.
