I have Windows Messenger 5.x and can IM but cannot use the voice. Details XP
SP1 on ADSL. Have tested the microphone and webcam. Both OK and can use
Skype. The message on the bottom of the screen says "connecting to ...
computer" but nothing happens. The conversation is then ended and the message
at the other end says that my computer is experiencing problems. I have
shutdown my firewall (Zone Alarm Pro) and the windows firewall but this
hasn't made any difference. I cannot update to SP2 because of problems it
creates. (I would have to clean install). I have trawled though nine pages of
questions but haven't found an answer so if this is repetitive, I apologise.
