Can someone tell me why this is happening.
1) I click on Windows Update. I get the Scan for Updates
Screen. I click on the button and Windows does as though
it is searching for updates, but it never does, it always
says DONE, but no updates can be seen.
Thanks.

I've found this to be a mis-configured clock in the BIOS or Within Windows.

Are you sure the date on the computer on which you are having this issue is
correct? An incorrect date is often the source of this issue. If that is
not the problem, make sure you have no security software that might be
blocking the process. A firewall can do it, sometimes just blocking cookies
or having an application installed that blocks cookies can be the source of
the issue.
