How do I get into the start menu?

I get an error message upon startup that my computer
can't find "openme.exe," and I would like to remove it,
so it no longer tries to. Also, there are processes that
never seem to do anything, and that I don't recognize, so
I would like to remove those too. Please, if anyone can
help, please email me.
