Something has gone wrong with my thumbnails & file associations. The
thumbnails for video file no longer sho an image from the file but only the
WMP icon (even though thumbnails view is set and photos do display
thumbnails). Also, when I attempt to play files, often I get the dialog that
windows doesn't know how to open the program. I have tried assigning file
associations in the various obvious ways, but nothing sticks. I suspect a
registry problem, but really don;t know.
