i have windows xp already installed on my pc and my
friend bought it and installed it on her pc. my question
is why is my xp different then hers. she wanted to
record a cd and mine came with recordnow, hers did not.
how can i fix this problem for her?

Hi Lori,

Your system was preinstalled, and the company you bought it from
preinstalled a few bundled applications as well. The one you mentioned was
something added by your pc manufacturer, it is not part of WindowsXP.

She can purchase RecordNow Max from www.stompinc.com
I'll bet your system is an HP and her isn't right?

There's really no problem to fix. Recordnow is not part of
Windows. Depending on what vendor you buy a computer from, it may
also bundle one or more extra programs with the package it sells
you. In your case, your vendor bundled recordnow; your friend,
who bought a different brand, didn't get it.

If your friend wants recordnow, he needs to buy a copy.
