Hi everyone,

When I tried to restart after the last Windows update (
security-related patches), my system has failed. My
Windows XP system has failed - the error message is:
Parser Message: Value Creation Failed At Line 422. This
message appears eight times when I try to start by
manually switching on the computer. I cannot log on, log
off, enter a password, turn off the computer in Windows,
hibernate, or access any power options. There is also a
message that a "serious system error" has occurred. (This
computer is protected by a technical surge protector which
tests as good.)

I tried to force a restart at LAST KNOWN GOOD
Configuration - this did not change anything.

Does anyone have the instructions to correct the inputs to
Line 422 in the registry or system files? I can force a
statup with no logon to access my files. Maybe I can just
replace a current O/S file. Thanks for any help.
