keyboard wont install

Suddenly & for no apparent reason my keyboard will not
install. On logging on to XP my keyboard does not power
up! Help it appears that my drivers for the keyboard have
vanished & i cannot find the correct replacement (my
keyboard is a USB advent). Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Remove the Keyboard Connector from the Motherboard then start the
computer. Let it boot into windows and then shutdown. Replace the Keyboard
connector and then restart. See what happens.
