Hyperlinks in Windows Messenger

I am unable to display a hyperlink in a Windows Messenger conversation. I am
running Messenger 5.1.0681... any ideas? Is this by design, or a bug? I
know for a fact I was able to do it earlier in version 5.0.0481. HELP!!!

This is by design.

To turn the links back on, simply download and run the following .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/engagelinks.reg

You'll need to restart Messenger to see the change.
