hi,

Would someone be able to assist me or redirect me to a
solution to my problem.

I have Windows XP home edition. I wanna chat with my
friends from back home in Yahoo Voice Chat. However, my
computer gives me this error message: " My computer does
not support the required audio compression format "

I looked up my Audio Codecs under Hardware and I could
not find the DSP Group TrueSpeechTM Audio CODEC. Is there
a way of adding it on again into my audio codecs
properties in XP.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

Is your modem a voice modem? Is it capable of transferring voice one way
only or both ways? If the modem does not use the codecs provided by
Windows, they should be included with the drivers and software that
shipped with the modem or that are at the manufacturer's website.
