Saved as a DV-AVI but still poor quality

Hi there! I brought in my footage to Windows Movie Maker from my video
camera with that record back to DV option and then saved as a DV-AVI as
instructed in this group. But the quality is still not what I expected.
There are "digital trails" (for lack of better description) when
someone moves. Any suggestions or is this as good as it gets? Thanks!

What are the specs of your PC and what else was running when you captured
the video from camcorder to PC?

It may just be that you are watching it on your pc. DV-AVI is interlaced and
needs to be watched on a normal crt tv for best quality. To test this, send
it back to the cam, and connect the cam to the tv adn watch.
If you are going to watch your movies on a lcd screen or pc monitor then
you'd be better off using High QUality WMV.
