I know that WM is designed for corporate use but I use it to chat to my
friends who use msn messenger. I use WM as it doesn't have the annoying tabs
and advertisment. However with the new SP2 version (4.7.3001) and above some
really handy features are missing. If MS are going to create a new version
for XPSP3 or Vista here is what I would like:

1) Graphical bar on file transfers (if it isn't there already. I have heard
it isn't)
2) Bring back the new mail and new alert popups! They made my life a lot
easier.
3) MSN Games integration. It shouldn't be too hard. If a user is on .NET
then add a Games button and just stick a IE window at the side where the
tasks pane would be.

I hope MS do this. I guess this is the reason Computer Shopper in England
gave it a 4/5 stars.

Greetings,

1) It's there, in the statusbar.

2) This is a MSN feature, it's not coming back.

3) It's MSN games, MSN owns it, and they own MSN (Windows Live) Messenger

To be honest, the Windows Messenger group is essentially no longer in existence, so there
won't be any major updates to it anyway.

I hope MS dont strip it from vista. I found it leaps and bounds better than
anything Windows Live Messenger will become. Too much advertisments and
annoying tabs. I would of written a addin if microsoft didn't strip it.

Hi,

Last I heard they hadn't decided what they were doing with Messenger with regards to Vista.
Should be interesting.
