Hi everyone,
Hoping someone can help me out. When ever I play files is Media player
they're always appear in neon green and yellow and all blocky and skip. The
sound is fine just the picture is complete nonsense!
Does anyone know what might be causing this and how I might be able to fix it?
Thanks in advance. :)

Always? All file types like MPEGs and AVIs and WMVs? If not, then you
need to identify which files suffer from the problem. If it's only
*some* AVIs then you probably ought to determine the type of encoding
used to create the problem AVIs (download and install GSPOT for this).

I've got the same problem. It is with some WMV files, not all. I've got
some poor quality files that play OK with the Media Player, and then
some good quality ones (lots of colors?) that play with completely wrong
colors, like everything is bright green, orange, yellow and red
(Some created with Windows Movie Maker, so the problem
definitely should not be a bad file format.)
Other programs like Creative MediaSource Player show the same
videos correctly.
I have a Dell Dimension 5150 with ATI Radeon x300 video card. I think
this is a problem with the video driver and/or Windows Media Player.
I tried different video settings (resolution, colors medium/high) and the
problem persists.

I experienced the same, an d I SOLVED it by installing codec bundle,
called ACE. Windows media Player needed some codecs, and I gave them to
it, however I do not know what codecs exatly were missing, or were old.
You can download ACE codecs pack for free from the internet, go to
google, and find it.
