vfw driver

I'm trying to aquire my videos off my new digital camera and when i try to do so my computer says "cannot find VFW driver" so how can i fix this problem in order to get my videos?

VFW is the older video technology, preceding the currently
predominating Directshow.

Download and install FFDSHOW (latest SSE version from www.afterdawn.com
is good). It has VFW support which will probably solve your problem.
You will need to open the VFW section, go to CODECs, and ensure that
the entry corresponding to the type of files produced by your camera is
not DISABLED. Once you've done that, restart your application and all
should be OK.
