Need pcmcia.sys update

I'm having trouble installing an AirCard 555 PCMCIA
Wireless Modem on Dell Inspiron 5150 (WinXP Pro SP1).
KB article "318213 - Issues in the Installation of
Multifunction PCMCIA Cards" indicates that I should
install the latest XP service pack and check that
pcmcia.sys is dated 11-03-2002 or later.
After installing the latest updates, pcmcia.sys is still
dated 9-3-2002. And I still have the problem.

Where and how can I obtain the correct file?
Will it actually resolve the issue?

Hi Scott,

I'm having the same problem to no avail. I have updated copies of
pcmcia.sys and mf.sys, but they have not fixed the problem.

the 2 files extract to microsoft update packages that update the
files... hope you have better luck than me.
