I only have the dog wiggling his tail!!!!!. No dialog obove the dog is shown.
I tried re-installing the companion without luck. Even copied the files from
another computer and re-installed without success. I have run anti-spy and
anti-virus (Ad-Aware, SpyBot, Panda, eTrust, Yahoo Anti-spy) software and
that didn't help. Help pls.

Ramesh, I just saw your notes from previous occurences of the problem. I'll
try running regsvr32 for jscript.dll and srchui.dll as you indicate as well
as adding the namespace key in the registry

Click Start, Run and type:

regsvr32 jscript.dll
regsvr32 %Windir%\srchasst\srchui.dll

Reinstalling the Search companion

1. Login as administrator
2. Click Start, click Run, type %systemroot%\inf, and then click OK.
3. Locate the Srchasst.inf file.
4. Right-click the Srchasst.inf file, and then click Install.

This reinstalls the files that Search Companion uses. When you're prompted
for the system files, insert your Windows XP CD, or point to
Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 folder, which-ever location has the updated
system files.
