When I go on internet explorer and choose a web site to open this "search
engine" (I think) keeps popping up. I have the pop up blocker on HELP!!!

Go through these malware removal steps systematically, doing everything
with updated tools in Safe Mode:

If the steps look daunting (and I'm not insulting your mad skilz since I
don't know what they are), then take the machine to a professional
computer repair shop for clean up. There is no shame in doing this; I
don't hesitate to take my car to the mechanic.
