Two possible solutions/reasons:
1. If you have your computer connected to a network
(private or public) then check that "Wake up on LAN" is
not enabled in your BIOS. I currently have the following
setup on my home network. When the main PC is switched
on all the other machines come on aswell. This is
because I have specified in the BIOS that this should
happen.
2. Get yourself a good UPS. (Uninteruptable Power
Supply). It would not be the first time I have seen a
computer switch on because of an unstable electricity
supply.
