synching recorded tv to zen vision

Hi, I am trying to sync the tv programs I recorded using media center to my
zen vision. I am new to this and going to they "sync to device" portion of
media center. Is this the correct way or should I do it differently? When I
tried this I got a message that not all recorded TV would transfer.

I don't know what "zen vision" is?
Assuming it is a portable device.
You would have received a very specific error message
of which you supply no details, so I'll assume it is a digital
