Hi all,
I want to use MSN Messenger 5,
Yesterday I could sign in, but today there is a message that I have to
upgrade.
I don't want to use msn messenger 6 or higher.
The reason I want to use msn messenger 5, is because it hasn't much buttons
in the user interface that msn 6 or higher has..
I know I have to upgarde for security reasons,
but isn't there any register tweak that I still can use msn messenger 5 ?
Thanks in advance (Y)

Greetings,
I'm afraid not, the only way to use MSN Messenger 5 is to use Windows 95.

Also not with a registry edit ?
Yesterday I was getting the same pop-up to upgrade,
and I did a systemrecovery to the day before yesterday..
So after that systemrecovery I could use msnmsgr 5 again,
so it's maybe somthing in the windows registry..
Anyone other ideas?

MSN Messenger 5 doesn't have a whole lot of features, I haven't used it in
quite some time, so I can't remember exactly what it is missing, but if you
really want to use something with less features, why not use Windows
Messenger instead?
