Is it possible to set up browser/mail client default to be user
specific, please?

Desktop stand-alone running XP Home SP2. Set up for three user
accounts:- Jack, Jill and guest.

Jack prefers Firefox/thunderbird and these are the machine default.
Jill, a senior newbie, has been to a mature-education computer awareness
course and has been taught OE6/IE6. She prefers to use these when logged
in to her space but is irritated in getting the dialog that these are
not the default. Son is an Opera fan and when he is home for the weekend
uses that browser on the "guest" account.

It would be nice for each to his own preference but I suspect that the
default setting is global. Is that so?

Thanks

Andereida

I don't know if this will help - but take a look at the free Shared Computer
Toolkit ( http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sharedaccess/ )

Thank you for your response. Interesting enough but doesn't seem to
address the particular problem I mentioned.
