Say what? Partition Magic is not a free program and is not distributed by
hard drive manufacturers. It is not necessary to use Partition Magic to
repartition if you plan to do a clean install.

More erroneous information from Jake. Partition Magic is
commercial software and is far from free.
It's also a complete waste of money to buy Partition Magic, which
is unneeded if you're planning on doing "a complete format of the
HD and reinstall."
