I get online but my computer says it's offline

Hi! I hope someone can help me. I hope this e-mail
actually gets through. I use my phone as a modem. I live
in Tampa (Fla), and we have DSL there. When I am here in
Melborne I use our phone line for a modem. I access the
phone line it dials up, the icon tells me I am
connected...but then I cannot use my Microsoft Internet
Explorer because it then informs I am working offline. how
can this be? I am either online or I am not1!!!! Anyone
who can help let me know. That's IF this e-mail goes
through!!
