In the years since I have had Windows XP, I have gotten Application Sharing
to work once. I can't even get it working on the other computer in my LAN. I
downloaded 5.1 on both machines. If I'm lucky enough to even get the Sharing
dialog box, all settings are unavailable, and the top says "Not in a call,"
even though I am in a call. I had the same bad experience on the other
machine in my LAN as I did with an Internet user 650 miles away. I opened up
a bunch of ports, but that doesn't help. Why does it say "Not in a call"? I
also got "Not in a call" when using White Board. But we can send IMs and
transfer files. So what gives? Is this the most useless program in the world?
